Public Swimming (with a lifeguard on duty)

POOL OPENS on Saturday 4th May 2019

Open weekdays term-time from: 3.30pm to 5.30pm

Open from 1pm to 5pm weekends and school holidays

SUNDAY BREAKFAST SWIMS

    • 8am to 10am - 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month

Swim & then enjoy a cooked breakfast

Adult only Swims (no lifeguard - must be 2 adults present in pool)

Adults MUST be aged 18 and over & MUST comply with guidance at the Pool

Sessions rely on someone having responsibility for opening the Pool and 2 adults turning up.

Mondays: 7am -9am

Tuesdays: 6am -7am (lane swims); 7am-9am; 11am to 12 midday - WOMEN ONLY; 6pm-7pm

Wednesdays: 7am-9am; 6pm-7pm

Thursdays: 6am -7am (lane swims); 7am-9am; 11am to 12 midday - WOMEN ONLY; 6pm-7pm

Fridays: 7am -9am

10 Session Vouchers:

  • Adults: £35 for 10 sessions
  • Child, aged over 8 and under 18: £35 for 10 sessions
  • Available at the Pool kiosk and MUST be stamped each time you swim at the Pool
  • Only valid for 1 season

Please note

  • All non-swimmers MUST be accompanied in the Swimming Pool by an adult
  • All children under the age of 10 MUST be accompanied to the Pool by an adult
  • All children under the age of 8 MUST be accompanied in the water (both pools) and changing areas by a parent or adult.
  • Admission may be declined if the above recommendations are not followed

The ratio for adult to child/children is:

  • for babies and toddlers: 1:1
  • for children age 3 to 5: 1:2
  • for older children with swim aids:1:3

The ratio will need to be reduced to 1:1 WHEN the pool is particularly bust or the lifeguard deems this is necessary

Bad weather

In the event of bad weather the Pool may not open, close early or be forced to close suddenly (ie in case of lightning).

Kiosk

The kiosk is open during all Public Swimming times and serves:

  • Tea - regular and decaf
  • Coffees – regular and decaf
  • Hot choc - regular and special (with marshmallows and cream)
  • Cans, bottled water, fruit juice cartons, Cordial - hot or cold
  • Home baking (subject to availability)
  • Crisps, sweets, ice-creams
  • Beans on toast; Hot dogs, toasties; micro pizzas and micro chips, pot noodles & soup
